Before You Travel
Trogir, town and port on the coast of Kastelanski Bay, 27 km west of Split. It is an islet connected to the mainland by a stone bridge and to the island of Ciovo by another bridge.
Trogir’s town center dates back to ancient times. The town developed and spread to the northern coast of the island of Ciovo. Trogir, in the past called Tragurion, was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. The economy includes shipbuilding, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries, and tourism.
The area has splendid rocky and pebble beaches, lavish vegetation, as well as numerous islands and islets. Accommodation is available in hotels, pensions, apartments and camping sites.
The gastronomic offer is based on local cuisine, especially on fish and other seafood specialties.
The sports and recreational offer consists of tennis, boccia, bowling, sailing, windsurfing and diving. Fishermen’s Evenings, folklore performances and classical music concerts are part of the cultural and entertainment offer.
